Turkish-origin man working at NASA arrested in probe over coup attempt
HATAY
Hatay Governor Ercan Topaca told state-run Anadolu Agency that police detained Serkan Gölge, 36, while he was in the province to visit his relatives following a tip-off that he was the crypto staff of the organization. A local court later ordered the arrest of Gölge.
The governor also added that Gölge studied at a school linked to the Gülen movement in Hatay and was graduated from Fatih University in Istanbul.
Topaca said that Gölge later moved to U.S. for higher education and began to work at NASA while also remaining in contact with the movement.
