Minimum wage in Türkiye raised 30 pct

ANKARA

The 2025 minimum wage in Türkiye marks a rise of 30 percent from the previous wage to 22,104 Turkish liras (about $628.3), Labor and Social Security Minister Vedat Işıkhan announced on Tuesday.

"We have determined the net minimum wage to be valid as of January 1, 2025 as 22,104 liras. We have also increased the minimum wage support, provided by the state, for each minimum wage earner from 700 liras to 1,000 liras," he said.

Stating that the minimum wage is determined through a social dialogue mechanism, Işıkhan added that they worked to adopt "the most balanced level" by assessing macroeconomic and conjunctural dynamics as well as the suggestions of worker and employer representatives.

The 2024 minimum wage in Türkiye was 17,002 Turkish liras (about $483.2).
