It is not enough to call them terrorists
We call “terrorists” those people who take up arms and commit acts of terror.
If terrorists render it much more difficult to shout out loud for democratic rights with their actions...
If they serve the dominant power by making it show its teeth more aggressively...
If their actions lead to renewed attacks on the memory of a 14-year-old child...
If they make it impossible to demand even with a quiet voice for the “killers to be found…”
If they strengthen the hands of those who believe in the merits of security politics...
If they overshadow the peaceful democratic struggle for rights...
If they fulfill the expectations of those waiting for provocations…
If they provide an opportunity to those who want to use such contention...
In these cases it is not enough to call them “terrorists.” You decide to call them: “Provocateur terrorists who are obviously just tools.”
Who was the prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz?
The martyr, Mehmet Selim Kiraz, was a prosecutor of the Republic:
He had conscience…
He did his job with utmost responsibility…
He opened the dossier of Berkin Elvan, which had been shut by the police during the Gezi protests and left untouched for months…
He asked for the identity cards of 21 on-duty police officers in the area related to Berkin Elvan’s dossier…
He achieved progress in all the Gezi cases he was responsible for...
Who spent tremendous effort to find the police responsible for the loss of the eye of a citizen in Gezi events.
Damn those who slaughtered him.
Questions that need to be answered
1-How could these men enter the courthouse so comfortably?
2-How were they able to smuggle both weapons and flags into the courthouse?
3-How did they raid the office of the prosecutor?
4-How could this incident have ended without shedding blood?
5-Why couldn’t the prosecutor’s life be saved?
6-How could an operation that ended with the death of the terrorists and the hostage could be considered “successful”?
7-Some claim that the terrorists did not enter the courthouse disguised wearing lawyers’ cassocks. So is this true?
There can be no understanding to the one who pick up arms, to the one that holds up a gun to the prosecutor, to the one that comes out with nonsense such as “the courts of the people,”to the one that spots dirt on the name of Berkin, to the one who believe he/she can render justice through violence.
