A sum of 1,200,000 Turkish liras were stolen after a jewelry courier’s vehicle was stopped by suspects who opened fire against police in Istanbul on May 8.

The incident occurred in Istanbul’s Bahçelievler district at 9:30 a.m. A suspect in a luxury vehicle followed the jewelry courier’s vehicle and neutralized two people in the vehicle with guns, stealing 1,200,000 liras and fleeing the scene in their vehicle.
