BIPO features Gülsin Onay to remember Adnan Saygun
Saygun’s student and his most dedicated heir, Gülsin Onay.
Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra’s (BIPO) November concerts offer an invaluable opportunity to hear renowned Turkish composer Adnan Saygun’s Piano Concerto No.1, which requires a high level of pianism and virtuosity. And you will hear it from Saygun’s student and his most dedicated heir, Gülsin Onay. She enjoys the privilege of having studied Saygın’s compositions personally under the composer and has become one of the best representatives of Saygun’s music. The orchestra will be conducted by Sascha Goetzel and proceeds from the concert will be donated to charity foundations sending aid to the quake-stricken Van province in eastern Turkey
