Yapı Kredi Sigorta dropped 8 percent to 5.75 Turkish Liras yesterday on the Istanbul Stock Exchange’s benchmark IMKB-100 index, the lowest since Jan. 8. The insurer has gained 36 percent this year on expectations that Allianz may make an offer for the company if it is put up for sale again. Allianz will focus on growing organically, chief executive Michael Diekmann said at a news conference in Istanbul yesterday.
