Worker dies in landslide at jobsite for hydroelectric plant in Central Anatolia

One worker was killed while two others suffered slight injures due to a landslide at a construction site for a hydroelectric power plant in the Central Anatolian province of Karaman early Jan. 20.The three workers were trapped under debris from a landslide during construction work at the power plant, which is being built on the Göksu River in the Bucakkışla area. There were removed from the debris by their co-workers and hospitalized.
Hassi Üstündağ, 41, died on the way to the hospital, while Hasbi Üstündağ and Nurullah Çukadar were discharged from hospital after receiving treatment.
The gendarmerie has begun an investigation into the incident.
