We need jointly establish new economic order: İTO chief
The head of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO) has said that a neweconomic order must jointly be established so as to bring a fairer distribution of global wealth and to embrace free trade and personal wealth at the same time on April 5.
“Such a system will lead not only economic success, but also welfare and happiness,” İTO President İbrahim Çağlar said in a speech at the 20th Eurasia Economic Summit, which was organized by the Marmara Grou Foundation. He noted that at Eurasian Economic Summits, they, as the participants, had witnessed radical changes both in Turkey and across the globe since its first launch in 1998. Çağlar said Eurasia has never lost its strategic significance.
“We have great responsibilities, as almost 75 percent of the world population lives in Eurasia. Over 75 percent of the energy resources are drilled from this region, which also produces over half of the total global income. Therefore, the junction of the humanity is directly related to social, economic and political realities in Eurasia,” added Çağlar.
