Vienna Philharmonic on Istanbul stage
One of the finest orchestras in the world, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, is performing to an Istanbul audience today at 3 p.m. the concert is at Lütfi Kırdar Anadolu Auditorium and tickets are available at Biletix booths.
The members of the Vienna Philharmonic are chosen from the Orchestra of the Vienna State Opera. It can trace its origins back to 1842. Since 1933 the orchestra has had no single subscription conductor, but instead hosts a number of guest conductors, including some of the world’s best known conductors. The Istanbul performance will be conducted by Herbert Blomstedt.
