First Lady Michelle Obama wore a jacket made of fabric belonging to Turkish firm Bossa, daily Sabah reported today. The Ann Taylor company purchased the fabric from Bossa and designed the jacket called "Ann Taylor Promenade Coat in Salsa Picante," which was showcased by Obama for the first time.
The shiny, colorful fabric was produced by a double-layer textile method using tenuous yarns. Bossa was the first textile company in Turkey to weave such yarns, the report said.
"It is an honor to see First Lady Michelle Obama wearing a jacket designed from thin refined yarn that we produced with our innovative approach and experiments,” said Gülperi Erkanlı, marketing manager of Bossa.
