Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) is to manufacture three different models of the domestic unmanned aerial vehicle ANKA, which is set to receive a 10-plane order, the developer’s top executivehas said.
“The model differences will be dependent on the rise of the planes’ performances and the amount of duty burden,” general manager of the state-run developer of ANKA, Muharrem Dörtkaşlı, said.
Dörtkaşlı reported that the negotiations with ally countries over the sale of Turkey’s first locally unmanned craft were continuing. “We will have a 10-plane order but we think this number will rise,” Dörtkaşlı said. The testing process for the aircraft has been completed, he added.
