University entrance exams to change again

The university entrance system will change once again by the end of 2014, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Nihat Ergün has said.The current Turkish education system will undergo heavy revisions, Ergün revealed yesterday at the High Council of Science and Technology. The minister said the new university entrance system will not focus on evaluating prospective students’ knowledge but rather their essential proficiencies. The new system will be completed by the end of 2014.
Ergün also announced that the structure of language education in Turkey will be innovated and alternative language education models will be designed.
