Union to do best for defense industry

The Turkish Union of Defense Industry and Allied Workers, Harb-İş, announced that they are committed to doing their best to develop the local defense industry, in line with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s highly motivated comments.

“The Turkish defense industry works a lot to make the industry, and Turkey, independent of foreign sources. Our prime minister has always said he wants a local airplane and a local armed combat car to be developed in Turkey,” Bayram Bozal, president of the union, said.

“Our friends who work at the Turkish National Defense Ministry have the high skills. We all could develop a local airplane, armed combat car or other things as Turkey has 50 years of know-how and experience,” Bozal added.
