ANKARA – Anadolu Agency
Two Turkish soldiers were killed when an explosive device planted by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) went off in the eastern province of Ağrı, local officials said on May 20.
Earlier, the Turkish military said in a statement that one soldier was killed and another one injured, however, the provincial governor’s office confirmed later that the second soldier had succumbed to his injuries.
The Turkish General Staff said the blast targeted a passing Turkish military vehicle in the Doğubayazıt district.
