Two Turkish soldiers killed in clash with PKK in Turkey’s east

Two Turkish soldiers were killed and 11 others were wounded during a clash with outlawed Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) militants in the eastern province of Ağrı on May 11, Doğan News Agency has reported.The PKK militants opened fire on the Turkish soldiers who were on search duty in Mount Tendürek in Ağrı. Two specialized sergeants were killed and 11 soldiers were wounded during the clash.
Five PKK militants were also killed.
Two of the wounded soldiers were taken to a hospital in Van while the others were taken to the Doğubeyazıt State Hospital in Ağrı.
Operation in Mount Tendürek has been ongoing, according to reports.
