Two soldiers wounded in PKK attack in Diyarbakır’s Sur

Two soldiers were wounded on Jan. 22 in an attack by outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants in the Sur district of southeastern Diyarbakır province.PKK militants attacked a special operations team in Sur’s Hasırlı neighborhood with rocket-propelled grenades, wounding two specialized sergeants. The wounded soldiers were taken to Diyarbakır Military Hospital for treatment with one in critical condition.
Meanwhile, police controllably disposed of a bomb placed by PKK militants behind the Sur district’s police department.
