Two girls killed in two incidents in Turkey

Two teenage girls, a 15-year-old and a 14-years-old were shot to death in separate incidents over the last two days in Turkey.Ayşe Muhacır (15) was killed in the southeastern province of Hakkari on May 13. She was shot by eight bullets in front of her house by unidentified assailants. Police are still searching for the suspects, according to reports.
The other victim, Kader Demiroğlu (14), was killed outside her school during school hours yesterday, in the Black Sea province of Zonguldak’s Devrek district.
Hüseyin Öner, the district governor of Devrek, said Demircioğlu left the school after a telephone message, and she was attacked outside the school building.
“Kader Demiroğlu received a telephone message and left the school, where she was shot by a man with shotgun,” said Öner. Demiroğlu was rushed to hospital after the attack, but she could not be saved.
Analyzing the text messages, police detained a 56-year-old man on the charges of murdering Demiroğlu.
According to Ministry of Justice statistics, nearly 4,000 women have been killed in Turkey over last seven years.
