Turks, Greeks to make joint researches

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) plans to provide financial support to joint research and technology projects by Turkish and Greek researchers, as well as private and public enterprises, as part of cooperation with Greek General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT).Researchers working on joint projects in the field of informatics, materials or health sciences are eligible to apply for the support. Turkish researches are to apply to TÜBİTAK, and Greeks to GSRT, as the two institutions will evaluate the projects independently.
The bilateral cooperation coded “2520,” launched by TÜBİTAK, will allocate a support fund, with a maximum value of 240,000 Turkish Liras per project, to the joint projects in the fields concerned, for the period of 2013-2014. The projects approved by the two national institutions will win the financing.
The deadline for applications is on April 12 and the project’s duration can last for a maximum two years.TÜBİTAK has cooperation agreements in science and technology with 27 institutions from 22 countries, 10 of which are based on bilateral cooperation with the United States, Bulgaria, Belarus, India, Slovakia, Mongolia and Greece.
