Turkish warplanes hit PKK targets in northern Iraq, kill 18 militants

Turkish warplanes conducted an air operation on outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) targets late on May 2 in the Kandil Mountains of northern Iraq.Some 18 PKK militants were killed in the air operation, conducted between 11 p.m. and 11.59 p.m. on May 2, destroying all identified targets in the region, which is known as the headquarters of the PKK.
