Turkish man sentenced to 30 years in jail for raping daughter

A father who was convicted of raping his 14-year-old daughter over a period of nine years was sentenced by an Istanbul court today to the maximum term of 30 years in prison, daily Hürriyet has reported.

The court immediately passed its decision after viewing one of the sexual assaults in a video that had been secretly taped by the victim, S.C.

S.C. resorted to the secret camera after failing to convince the police that she was being raped by her father, Dursun C., especially because a health report indicated that she was still a virgin.
