Turkish leaders voice determination on EU bid on Europe Day

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu released separate messages on the occasion of the Europe Day on May 9, voicing their determination concerning the country’s troubled European Union membership bid. “We are maintaining our determination to re-accelerate the EU accession process, we are doing our part to realize the full membership to the EU within the framework of conventional commitments,” Erdoğan said while verbalized the flaws in the accession process.Similarly, Davutoğlu’s statement underlined Turkey’s determination to join the EU. “Our perspective of full membership to the EU continues to be our strategic choice,” he said.
