Turkish-German Year of Science ceremony held in Berlin

Turkish Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Fikri Işık and German Minister of Education and Research Johanna Wanka signed an agreement to promote cooperation in the fields of science and education between the two countries during the opening ceremony of the Turkish-German Year of Science held in Berlin E-Werk Hall Jan. 23.Işık said they cared about the Turkish-German Year of Science and they thought both Turkey and Germany would benefit from the cooperation and this benefit would go beyond the two countries, spreading to the whole continent and the world.
Işık added Turkey is a very generous country that supports the technology transfer from idea to product.
In addition to the Turkish Minister’s remarks, the German Minister of Education and Research Wanka stated Turkey has been serving as a bridge in the matter of both science and education.
“Turkey is a very strong partner for us and has rapidly developed economically,” said Wanka.
