Turkish FM inaugurates TİKA office in Mexico

Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu on Feb. 3 inaugurated a Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TİKA) office in Mexico City.Speaking at its opening ceremony, Çavuşoğlu praised TİKA for its role in humanitarian diplomacy and said the office would enhance cooperation between the two countries.
“Thanks to this office in Mexico, which is a gateway to the entire Latin America region, TİKA’s services will reach a much wider geography,” he said.
Maria Casar, the executive director of Mexican Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AMEXCID), for her part, said the office was a sign of the two countries’ commitment to improving bilateral relations.
