Turkish cyber activist group RedHack hacked into the websites of several milk companies in protest of recent events in which hundreds of students were hospitalized after drinking government-distributed milk at schools in Turkey, daily Cumhuriyet reported. The group targeted websites belonging to companies who were partner associations in the project, leaving a note accusing the companies of receiving government favors through close relations with the current ruling party.
"You're not the only ones to blame," the note read.
The group also criticized recent media reports that claimed the group opposed distributing free milk at schools.
"We are not against free milk," the group wrote. "We are against poison."
