Turkish army kills at least four PKK militants
Turkish Air Force has killed four members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) during raids in northern Iraq, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Dec. 30, citing the Turkish Military.
On Dec. 28, at least six soldiers were wounded in a rocket attack carried out by the PKK against Turkish military bases in the southeastern province of Hakkari.
The PKK attacked the Zer Tepe and Kırmızıkaya military bases in the Çukurca district, the Hakkari Governor’s Office said in a statement.
The wounded soldiers were taken to the Hakkari State Hospital for treatment while an air-backed operation was launched to hunt down the militants, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.
