Turkish airstrikes hit PKK arms dumps in northern Iraq

Airstrikes on outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) bases in northern Iraq on Oct. 1 destroyed arms dumps and shelters, the Turkish military said in a statement.

The airstrikes targeted the terror camps in Metina region, according to Sunday's statement from the Turkish General Staff.

No further detail was given about the timing of the operation.
