Turkey’s Yıldız Holding to buy local meat producer firm

Turkish conglomerate Yıldız Holding signed a preliminary agreement to buy a 75 percent stake of Yimpaş Holding’s Aytaç Meat Integrated Plant, the company announced today.According to the agreement, Yıldız Holding will take over 75 percent of Aytaç Meat facility in the Central Anatolian province of Çankırı for 150 million Turkish Liras ($75 million), along with its real estate and financial obligations. There are currently 216 employees at the facility.
The agreement needs the approval of the Competition Board to come into force.
