Turkey's intel chief has married off his son in an unannounced ceremony in which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was among the marriage witnesses.A number of high profile guests, including Deputy Prime Minister Yalçın Akdoğan, attended the wedding of the National Intelligence Agency (MİT) chief Hakan Fidan's son at the Ankara Chamber of Commerce's (ATO) Congresium Hall on Nov. 14.
After Ankara Mayor Melih Gökçek solemnized the marriage, Erdoğan presented the couple their certificates.
The MİT's confidentiality protocol has been applied for the ceremony, which was not previously announced. Turkey's semi-official Anadolu Agency reported the event only after it was concluded and omitted the names of the newly-wed couple.
