Turkey’s Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry is set to hold a tender for purchasing 300 million boxes of milk today. The ministry aims to deliver free milk to 6.3 million school children at 35,000 schools as part of the “School Milk Project.” The date of the tender was announced to be on Nov. 12 by the Oct. 14 Public Tender Bulletin. The tender was canceled in April 2012 due to the fact that bids had not been placed for all seven of the regions, the ministry said on its web site.
