Turkey’s poster wins award

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has presented its 2011 Vettor Giusti Award in the European region category to a Turkish promotional poster of Pamukkale, which is Turkey’s popular hot mineral water spa in the Aegean province of Denizli.
The tourism posters competition award was presented during UNWTO’s 19th general assembly in the South Korean city of Gyengju from Oct. 8 to 14, according to a written statement of the Culture and Tourism Ministry.
The Vettor Giusti tourism posters competition is open to member countries of UNWTO and gives awards to winners from seven categories every two years.
Winning posters will be displayed on the website of the organization until the general committee assembly is held in 2013 and in the entrance of the building where the 20th assembly will be held.
