Turkey’s Erdoğan speaks with Qatari emir on phone

Turkey’s president and the Qatari emir on March 27 discussed bilateral and regional issues over the phone, Turkish presidential sources said.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani discussed bilateral relations, regional issues and recent developments in Syria amid “Operation Olive Branch,” the ongoing Turkish military operation in Syria’s Afrin region near the Turkish border, said the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media.
They also affirmed their determination to further develop bilateral ties, according to the sources.
Separately, on the night of March 27, Erdoğan also spoke to Alpha Conde, his counterpart in the West African nation of Guinea.
