Turkey issues travel warning for Egypt
ANKARA
The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a warning to its citizens in Egypt, and those who are set to travel to the country by road, following recent unrest.“Apart from city centers and holiday resorts that have direct flight connections, it is advised that travelers should avoid roads, and citizens should keep away from the venues of protests,” the ministry said in a written statement.
The statement added that in the event of an emergency, Turkish nationals should contact the Turkish Embassy in Cairo and the Consulate General in Alexandria, as well as the consular call center.
