Turkey extends support to Bosnia and Herzegovina

Turkey will continue to extend support to Bosnia-Herzegovina to strengthen its national reconciliation and achieve economic development, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said yesterday in a joint press conference with Bakir Izetbegovich, Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina.Turkey strongly supported Bosnia-Herzegovina’s membership of NATO, and will discuss the issue with the NATO chief visiting Turkey today, Davutoğlu added. Izetbegovich said his country’s accession to NATO was of utmost importance. Turkey and Bosnia-Herzegovina signed a readmission agreement on cooperation yesterday, in the fight against illegal migration and organized crime gangs. Izetbegovich also held talks with President Abdullah Gül, and he will meet Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan today.
