Turkey and Belgium to talk counterterrorism

The foreign, interior and justice ministers from Turkey and Belgium will gather together today in Brussels to discuss ways to boost cooperation against terrorism.Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu and his Belgian counterpart, Didier Reynders, Turkish Interior Minister İdris Naim Şahin and his counterpart, Joelle Milquet, and Turkish Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin and his counterpart, Annemie Turtelbloom, as well as Belgian Secretary of State for Immigration and Integration Maggie de Block will take part in the meeting scheduled today. The ministers will discuss the fight against terrorism, as well as cooperation and migration. Meanwhile, Turkish EU Minister Egemen Bağış yesterday arrived in Ireland for a series of formal talks. Bağış attended a dinner with his EU counterparts and is scheduled to participate today in an informal meeting of the EU ministers of the bloc’s member countries.
