Tune Yards, a New England-based experimental musical project, takes the stage at SALON IKSV. Their debut album, BiRd-BrAiNs, released in 2009, was recorded on an old-fashioned tape recorder. Merrill Garbus recorded the songs, using a ukulele, bass and vocals over a drum recording. The project was described by the Guardian as the most radical and freshest pop phenomenon in 2011.
