Train crashes into Samsunspor team bus

Members of the Spor Toto Super League team Samsunspor narrowly survived after a train collided with their bus last night.Two people were injured in the accident, which occurred following the team’s match against Kardemir Karabükspor, Anatolia news agency reported.
There was no sign of an oncoming train at the railway crossing where the accident occurred, said bus driver Recep Terzi, who stepped on the gas at the last moment, preventing a worse collision.
The players awoke in panic; many later said they were lucky to have survived.
Samsunspor experienced a similar accident 23 years ago in which the lives of the technical director, the driver and three players were lost.
