Tourism cooperation with Tunisia

A memorandum of understanding in the field of tourism was signed on April 16 between Turkish Culture Minister Ertuğrul Günay and Tunisian Tourism Minister Elyes Fakhfakh. It was signed during the 9th session of the Tunisia–Turkey Partner Tourism Commission held at one of the top tourist centers of Tunisia, Djerba Island.Günay said the agreement would make more tourists come to Tunisia from Turkey and other countries. “As Turkey, we want to help Tunisia in the field of tourism,” he said.
Fakhfakh said the agreement included projects created to ease the tourist flow between Turkey and Tunisia. After the signing ceremony, Günay and Fakhfakh presented each other with a number of gifts.
Before the ceremony, Günay also visited the Gazi Mustafa Kemal Castle at the resort.
