Top business groups will discuss China

Two of Turkey’s top business associations have jointly organize a conference to discuss Chinese business culture. The Turkish Industry and Business Association’s (TÜSİAD) “strategic business development” arm TÜSİAD International and the Foreign Economic Relations Board’s (DEİK) Turkish-Chinese Business Council will hold the event titled “Understanding China and Doing Business with China” on Sept. 11.

Citibank is the main sponsor of the conference and participants will discuss the economic dynamics of China and the how to do business there. TÜSİAD Chair Ümit Boyner, DEİK Turkish-Chinese Business Council President Hüsnü Özyeğin and Chinese ambassador to Ankara Xiaosheng Gong will make opening speeches at the event, which will be moderated by TÜSİAD International President Osman Boyner.

Citibank Turkey General Manager Serra Akçaoğlu will make a presentation at the opening session.

The conference will feature two sessions and representatives from Turkish and Chinese businesses are expected to be in attendance.

The main themes of the conference will be medium- and long-term trends in the Chinese economy, China’s latest five-year development plan, Chinese economic dynamics that affect the world economy and Turkey’s strategy regarding China.
