The Turkish national flag carrier, Turkish Airlines, will begin flights to the Egyptian cities of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada as of Oct. 9.After a meeting with Turkish Airlines representatives in Cairo Sept. 7, Egyptian Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou said that to boost the tourism sector in his country, they wanted to enhance cooperation with Turkish Airlines.
Zaazou said that in the light of their request, Turkish Airlines would begin scheduled flights to Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada on Oct. 9.
Meanwhile, Turkish Airlines representatives said they would embark on a new advertisement campaign to introduce Egypt’s touristic destinations.
Headquartered in Istanbul, Turkish Airlines operates scheduled services to 150 international and 41 domestic cities (38 domestic airports), serving a total of 187 airports in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
