Theaters to get aid from government in Turkey

Private theaters will receive support for their 2013-2014 season art projects, according to a written statement sent by the Culture and Tourism Ministry. The applications have opened and the deadline is due Aug. 15. The aim is to spread the playwriting and encourage Turkish play writers. Another aim of this aid is to contribute to the development of Turkish theaters. The application is open under the four main categories such as professions, child play, amateur and traditional. The call for applications can be reached through www.kulturturizm.gov.tr, www.guzelsanatlar.gov.tr.
