Theater festival tickets sold out on first day

The Sabancı International Adana Theater Festival, jointly organized by Sabancı Foundation and Culture and Tourism Ministry State Theaters, will be held this year for the 16th time between April 14 and May 16.Theater lovers showed great interest in the festival, with tickets selling out as they were sold in three different places in the city. Nearly 10,000 tickets for 21 plays were sold out within a very short time as viewers began waiting in line before the opening of the sales points.
Adana State Theater Director Gökhan Doğan said tickets were released 12 days before the festival opened and sold out on the same day.
On April 14, world renowned French group Ilotopie, which performs on water, will mark the opening of the festival this year. The festival will open on Seyhan River and bring 21 foreign and Turkish groups to the stage.
