Terrorists claim name of Islam, creating bias

It is no secret that one of the main issues of international relations in the modern period are universal security problems. International Terrorism, Separatism, religious extremism, national, ethnic and religious conflicts occurs in today’s world. Therefore, the promotion of tolerance and multicultural values, the establishment of cooperation among religions, cultures and political systems in order to ensure the security of people live in peace and the world’s security has become a necessity. Holding the international meetings, events and conferences is particularly important in the modern globalized world, in the period of strengthening of unfair competition as well as collision of political and economic interests. In this regard, holding XX Eurasian Economic Summit is commendable.Terrorism, genocide and massacres that accompanied by the killing of innocent people, hostilities on artificial reasons between communities are the sources of conflict among some countries.
Unfortunately, one should admit that, today terrorist attacks take place in Muslim countries and Muslims have been suffering from the consequences of terrorism. If we look at the statistics, we can see that during last 15 year’s clashes in the different parts of the world 2.5 million people lost their lives. There also have been clashes based on religion and sectarianism. 170 thousand people have been killed in the terror attacks on the religious grounds. About 75 percent of the terrorist attacks have occurred in Muslim countries only 2 percent took place in Western Europe countries and the United States. Today as the result of ongoing armed conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Libya, Syria, Yemen and other countries, Muslims’ bloodshed, cultural heritage are being destroyed as well as their homes are being ruined. Unfortunately, both victims and perpetrators are Muslims in these countries. Killing people under “Allahu Akbar” is not Islam we inherited from prophet. The true Islam forbids killing of innocent people. Surah Al Mai’dah verse 32 says “if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. “
Azerbaijan is one of the countries which suffered from the consequences of terrorism. Thousands of Azerbaijanis were murdered as the result of terrors and crimes committed by the Armenian terrorist organizations and the secret intelligence services.
Terrorists believe that they can only succeed by using violence. Through violence they spread fear in society, which they hope to add to their power. Sometimes terrorists are using the name of religion in order to carry out their heinous intentions. Claiming the name of Islam by some radical groups creates biased attitude toward the whole Muslim world and Islamophobia.
As a result of these events, deepening manifestation of Islamophobia within European societies intensified aggressive attitudes towards forced migrants. There is no doubt that such cases are deepening polarization between civilization and triggering radicalism and extremism, damaging the inter-religious and interethnic dialogues.
