Tarkan meets his fans at Cemil Topuzlu

Turkey’s famous pop star Tarkan takes the stage at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Amphitheater tonight, where he will perform his hit songs. Tarkan is perhaps the most popular and well-known singer in Turkey. In addition to his record-breaking album sales, he is known for staging concerts that draw tens of thousands of people. In 2004, at the “Karadeniz Ereğli Love, Peace and Friendship Festival,” approximately 700,000 people watched his concert, while in 2006 authorities reported almost the same numbers. Tarkan released his eighth album, Adımı Kalbine Yaz, in July 2010. The album received a positive reaction from both critics and fans all around the world. It sold more than 300,000 copies in its first week and all the singles from the album topped Turkey’s music charts. Tonight’s concert starts at 9 p.m.
