Son kills mother and security officer at Istanbul courthouse

A woman and a police officer accompanying her were killed by her son at Istanbul’s Çağlayan Courthouse on March 11, private broadcaster CNNTürk reported.

The woman, identified only as H.A., was reportedly a victim of domestic violence attending a divorce litigation case at the courthouse. The police officer had been charged of H.A.'s security for five years.

The assailant D.Z., 20, was captured by security officers at the courthouse.
