Soldier, worker killed in PKK attack in Turkey’s Hakkari

One soldier and a worker were killed on Sept. 23 in an attack by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants in the southeastern province of Hakkari, the governor’s office said.
Two other soldiers were also wounded in the rocket and mortar fire attack, which took place in the Şemdinli district, a statement said.
A large-scale operation to find the perpetrators was launched in the region.
