Soda announces season’s first show

The gallery Soda will open its new season with “Icons in Old Wood,” the first solo show by internationally renowned Dutch artist Diederick Kraaijeveld in Istanbul. The exhibition, which will open Sept. 13, includes the artist’s signature work of Converse basketball “Blue All Stars” shoes, as well as new pieces prepared specifically for the exhibition. A distinguished feature of Kraaijeveld’s work is that he does not paint the wood he uses in his sculptures but leaves the original colors and texture intact.
