Smash hit Mamma Mia! In Istanbul

ISTANBUL

One of the most popular worldwide shows, which has seen by more than 54 million people in 14 different languages, “Mamma Mia!,” Judy Craymer’s ingenious vision of staging the story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs with an enchanting tale of family and friendship unfolding on a Greek island paradise, will return to Istanbul on Sept. 29 at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center.

The “Mamma Mia!” musical has been seen by celebrities all over the world like George Bush, Kofi Annan, Bruce Willis, Meryl Streep, Jenifer Lopez, Tom Cruise and more. Featuring truly global music that captured the world, the musical, now in its 20th year since its first production, will be brought to the city by the BKM organization.

With music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, “Mamma Mia!” is written by Catherine Johnson, directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast.

The production is designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.

The MAMMA MIA! International Tour is produced by Judy Craymer, Richard East and Björn Ulvaeus for Littlestar in association with Universal, Stage Entertainment and NGM.
