Shinsei posts record loss of $1.5 bln

The bank’s deficit totaled 143.1 billion yen ($1.5 billion) for the year ended March 31, Shinsei said in a statement yesterday. Shinsei said May 8 it lost 143 billion yen in the full year, citing preliminary figures.
