Serena inks cooperation deal with GL Events

Turkey’s Serena Group signed a partnership agreement with French event planning giant GL events on Nov. 17, according to a company press release yesterday.
As part of this partnership, GL events will work with Serena Group companies Seranas, Adors and Frame.
Turkey’s position as the most important country in the region, its strong and growing economy and strategic presence made it an ideal choice, said GL events European Region Head Glaizal Franck. “We are very pleased to partner with Serena Group given the company’s national and international experience, transparent structure, strong personnel and technical infrastructure,” he said.
Serena Group CEO Mustafa Fethi Gürbüz said for years the group had been trying to become an international player and they were proud of bringing foreign capital to Turkey.
GL events’ 2010 revenues were 727 million euros. The company has 91 offices in countries including Canada, South Africa, United States, Brazil, China, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, Belgium and England.
GL events had organized prestigious events such as the 2010 World Cup and Davis Cup and is currently preparing to plan the 2012 London Summer Olympics, the French presidential elections and the Deauville spring G8 Summit
