Sera Uzel’s “Light ‘Lu’” opens at Çırağan

The Çırağan Palace Kempinski Art Gallery will be hosting an exhibition by Sera Uzel, whose work has been shown in nearly 50 solo and group exhibitions and who is known for her very interesting artwork, including her Ankara murals. In her paintings, the figures “probably move in their immovable positions” and are characterized as “heroes who communicate in an iconographic and metaphysical way.” Uzel says you can see in their faces “the search for the essence of art and the immortality of yesterday or today.” The exhibition, titled “Light ‘Lu,’” opens May 30 and continues until July 17.
